I absolutely love Little Hands Academy. It is very difficult to find a place that you truly trust your child with. I have found that here. The teachers really care about the children that they care for and the Director (Julie) and Assistant Director (Monica) are very responsive and friendly. Nina (the owner) is very pleasant, hands on and a join to talk to. The activities that they do with the children are creative and adorable. I really feel like I am sending my child to school, rather than a daycare. I highly recommend their services.
Just an update. I now have 2 children at LHA. Both of my children run to the door every morning to see their teachers and friends and are not happy to leave at the end of their day. Over the last few years, yes there has been turnover, but the new staff that have come in are out of this world amazing!! The Director has told us (parents) that she has gone out of her way to find staff that fits the wants and needs of the children, school, staff and parents. I find this very refreshing after hearing of a friends school that changes (firing or leaving) the teachers every 6 months or every year (that is truly absurd)!! As the Director says to every family there are many different schools for many different families, you choose what is best for you. It sounds like the last review didn't get their way and didn't like it, but that is an outsiders opinion.
I knew within minutes after meeting Nina, the Director of Little Hands Academy (LHA), that I had finally found just the right place for my kids. The teachers are wonderful and have an amazing way of teaching the children while nurturing and disciplining all simultaneously. That is truly a gift and a sign of a talented and experienced teacher. I have been fascinated with the emergent curriculum. I love watching the children transition from one unit to the next. The excitement I hear on the way to school and on the way home is heart warming. My kids absolutely love everything about LHA and they want everyday to be a "school" day! I am excited and thankful that my kids are developing such a positive attitude towards school.
My wife and I have had our Son enrolled at the little hands acadamy and it has been an awesome experience! The staff and teachers have been wonderful with my family. I have never seen this "Teachers seems unhappy and it showed with the children"....I have interacted with other parents and kids and they all seem to love the school, the staff and teachers. It would almost seem that the one poor review was someone who didn't understand the curriculum or the teaching philosophy. We looked for a program like this and I know we made a good choice.
We absolutely adore Little Hands Academy, the staff and overall community we've found there. We've watched our little guy grow, learn, and discover here under the watchful eyes of his teachers. We've noticed that even with our infant, teachers strive to encourage growth and provide a variety of activities to engage the little guys, allowing them to experience a variety of sensations and interactions. We have always been welcome to drop in during the day and see how he's doing if we can and we always find him well loved and cared for.

I love how much he jumps out of the car every day to go to school and how every day when I pick him up he has sand in his shoes and paint on his shirt. I know from those signs, and his face, that it's been a good day. If I could keep him there till he's 18, I would!!!!

As a parent who takes very much into consideration the service I receive as well as my children, I am sorry you experienced this service. My son has been going to Little Hands for over 2 years and I know for a fact they sing songs and play music through out the day. LHA has an open door policy and yes, I am one of those parents who comes in during the day. I have seen first hand the learning environment, which includes music and hear it every day when I pick my son up and he is singing a new song on the way home. From reading this previous review it does sound like you were selling a music class and from what I know and see LHA does not need it as they already provide it!!

Amazing school. I have two totally different children and Little Red Wagon met both their needs. The staff is amazing!! They combine exceptional care and instill a love of learning in a way that is truly fabulous. Cannot say enough about this school. Their flexible schedule met our needs perfectly.

Little Red Wagon Playschool is now Little Hands Academy. Our staff and curriculum are the same. Please visit www.lhasudbury.com for more information.
My son went for years and loved it when it was Little Red Wagon. I saw an abrupt change in teachers attitudes and how the children were reacting to the curriculum soon after it changed management. Teachers seems unhappy and it showed with the children. I really want the academy to succeed but after a year of trying it out as Little Hands, I've decided to enroll my son in a better learning and more cohesive environment. It is truly unfortunate and certainly noticeable to see how many of the children are leaving. It has gotten to the point that the mornings have the little children combined with the older ones because there just isn't enough children enrolled to warrant them being separated by their age group. Unfortunately this manner of operation just doesn't work.
